Cathryn is a Registered Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working within the field of mental health. Using a client-centred and tailor-made approach, she is dedicated to supporting others to feel and be their absolute best!
Cathryn uses a holistic approach with children, youth and adults, drawing from EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Emotional Freedom Techniques. She is passionate about working with children and youth in the areas of: trauma, emotional regulation, ADHD management, anxiety, depression, stress management, communication challenges, challenges at school and with family, self esteem, performance challenges, and self-harm.

She is an approved NIHB provider with indigenous populations and works with First Responders, and members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs.
Cathryn also has extensive experience in working with couples experiencing concerns with emotional regulation, stress management, separation and divorce, conflict resolution, and communication challenges, using strategies and techniques from Gottman Therapy. She is dedicated to supporting couples to getting to the root of their problems and achieve their desired goals.

Saly Habashy M.Sc. OT.
Saly is a registered Occupational Therapist (OT), a Certified S.O.S Feeding Therapist, and a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist with more than thirteen years of experience. She also received the School-Based Intensive certification from the STAR Institute, a leader in sensory health and wellness.
Saly works with children and families to offer pediatric assessment, consultation, and intervention in the areas of picky eating, self-help skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and fine motor skills. She specializes in working with individuals with neurodevelopmental diagnoses, such as ASD, ADHD, and FASD.
Saly has experience working with multidisciplinary teams and strives to adapt her approach to meet the unique needs of each child and family. She is passionate about using her training and experience to equip each child and their family with the skills and the tools to navigate the demands of everyday life, reach their highest potential, and achieve a quality of life.
Saly has weekday appointments available out of the Wholeness Psychology Sherwood Park office.
If you are wondering about how occupational therapy services can benefit your child, Saly offers a free 15 minutes consultation for further directions and recommendations.
Saly can also offer 1 hour virtual and in-person consultation sessions for parents and caregivers who want to get strategies to try at home first in their home or are waiting for FSCD services and need some support interim.
Assessments and direct treatment sessions are provided in-person. Initial assessment typically takes 2 hours. This involves parent or caregiver interview, observations and assessment of the child’s level. Some time will be reserved to debrief the family, discuss target areas and therapy goals and documentation.
Treatment sessions are typically booked for one hour. During treatment sessions, OT will use different play-based activities to address therapy goals. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to observe. During treatment sessions, time will be allocated to discuss updates, progress, new or modified strategies for parents and caregivers to try at home.

Chris Janzen

Chris is a Registered Psychologist with over 16 years of experience working in various settings with an aim for understanding and supporting the mental health needs of children and youth, as well as with caregivers and educators.
Chris is passionate about recognizing individual strengths and challenges, as well as patterns of behaviour and coping skills. He acknowledges that meeting someone’s needs is founded on building a common understanding and a plan, working through obstacles, followed by recognizing and celebrating progress.
Chris has extensive experience in assessments and counselling. He specializes in conducting ADHD and Psychoeducational assessments. He believes that it is especially important to not only deliver the results of an assessment, but to also make a plan for what happens next to best support individual and family needs.
